Our first executive programme brought Prof. Ashish Nanda to Mauritius for two full days of case-method teaching. Day one, Collaborating Across Boundaries in Financial Services, looked at how firms get their specialists working together for clients. Day two, Leading Professional Service Firms, turned to how partners lead, grow and hold together firms built on expertise.

More than fifty partners, directors and managers from banks, insurers, and law and accounting firms took part.

About the trainer

Dr Ashish Nanda was Director of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA), India’s premier management school, until September 2017. He is affiliated with Harvard University as Robert Braucher Professor of Practice at Harvard Law School and as a Harvard Business School Executive Education Fellow, and teaches in Harvard’s executive education programmes. He holds a PhD in Business Economics and an AM in Economics from Harvard, a PGDM from IIM Ahmedabad and a B.Tech. from IIT Delhi, and began his career with the Tata group as a Tata Administrative Services officer.

What participants said

The course was exceptionally helpful and Professor Nanda was outstanding. I think it was a great initiative and I look forward to similar courses in the future. Well done!

Mariam Rajabally, Partner, Taxation & Advisory Services, Grant Thornton

The overall organisation of the workshop was excellent and the facilities were of a very good standard. Dr Ashish Nanda’s delivery was one of the best I have seen in an open workshop for 50+ participants. His excellent presentation skills and high-energy delivery captivated the room from start to finish. I would most certainly recommend this workshop to others.

Gerard Bouic, HR Director, BDO Mauritius

Well done for your first training programme, which was of a very good level. The quality of the speaker was the largest contributor to its success; the location and the support provided by your team were also important. There is a gap in the market for training given by high-calibre professors who use the case method.

Sidharth Sharma, Managing Director, RHT Bus

The session has compelled me to question my current approach and look for ways to influence my performance. Prof Nanda is a very inspirational and passionate lecturer, and the workshop itself was very well organised. I really learnt a lot from the training, which I would qualify as excellent!

Marika Domain, Client Relationship Executive, General Insurance

I thoroughly enjoyed the training and would recommend it to my colleagues anytime. The organisation was perfect and I really only have good memories and great lessons learned from the day.
